Have we forgotten the 12 inch water line that runs down the middle of the roads straight to Tamarindo? That water line is huge and it runs 24/7 to water the golf course, gardens and etc. for our very rich neighbor. Someone needs to get the truth about what Tamarindo was given, what Tamarindo was supposed to give in return and what can be done about this draining of La Manzanilla's aquifer. Calculating the sucking sound from this water line is unbelievable. Watering the streets is nothing in comparison to this glutinous use. When this water "right" was given the town of La Manzanilla was an unknown piece of real estate. Eveyone now suffers from our local officials thinking they were going to gain something from something they didn't need-water. The same goes for those who are against some kind of well thought out planning. If there had been the concept of future planning a lot of these problems would of been addressed. It's not too late to start, but will it ever happen. It's hard to believe we will be here 10 years very soon-the problems haven't changed. WATER-Tamarindo SEWER-La Huerta ROADS-sewer-water-Tamarindo It's an old story. |
