Our vets lakeside (two cousins, los Drs. Ladrónes) sell a liquid that is homeopathic like Rescue Remedy called Rescate®. The instructions say to put 10 drops into the pet's water bowl. As pet owners you will react to this just like we did: You don't need the medicine until the cohetes go off, and at that point there's no way a sane dog or cat is going to drink water. We used a syringe, and it really helped to calm Ripley the dog down. Must be kept refrigerated. I would worry a bit about tranquilizers though. There are quite a few paradoxical reactions, and you don't want the medication to be driving your pet crazy along with the fuegos.
