It's true, I didn't anticipate that the car would have a plate from one state on the front and another state on the rear. That might just raise some eyebrows. But in many crossings, we have never been asked anything about the car. You do, indirectly, bring up another good point, however. The registration will still be in effect (not expired) I trust. If so, the scan won't trigger anything.
And it's also true that I assumed that title and registration would be on hand going both directions, so we're really not disagreeing.
