Going through my things I found interesting here are a couple of articles I read recently wich may shed light on the situation. Most are from 2008 and are related to drugs. Civil war and vigilantism gripping Mexico Mexico's Cocaine Capital http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D953AKM82&show_article=1 US anti-kidnapping expert kidnapped in Mexico Mexico grapples with drug addiction No Help for Mexico's Kidnapping Surge Mexico Drug War Causes Wild West Blood Bath - http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/16/world/americas/16mexico.html?_r=3&ref=americas&oref=slogin&oref=slogin http://chicago.indymedia.org/newswire/display/80053/index.php - Speakers at Plan Mexico Hearing Admit That Plan Will Not Curb Flow of Drugs to U.S. It's crazy the speed at which things are changing these day's. Or have prior generations always said the same thing since the beginning of time? Yes, media sensationalizes, yes more have died in border towns this year to date than ever before, yes, the world is losing the drug war and refuses to legalize it despite that truth. Personally I think drug lords want the drugs illegal and that is why they still are. Even those who recognize the perils and dead end of drugs (especially those who have been there done that) need to recognize the need, the logic of legalization. Google "the big lie". Come to realize that the way we live our lives on an indivdual level has a direct connection to the world we are living in. Get educated, get involved, get real. D |
