It was 5 or more years ago that I drove a Jeep which did not have a front
license plate.

Every time I went to Melaque the traffic police would motion me over to
the side and tell me to get a front license plate. After that happening a
few times he got heavy and said that if I did not get a front license plate
he was going to write me a ticket!

I called my friend I had gotten the Jeep from, he did not have another plate
but did have another one from the same state. I said "well, he did not
say it had to be the same as the back one he just said to get a front plate".
I wired the plate to the front bumper of the Jeep. Next time I drove to Melaque
he saw the front plate and with a big smile gave me the thumbs up!

So.....yes front plates are important.
