Be glad you live near the Manzanillo Aduana office ... the office here in Puerto Vallarta - where the Aduana official made his dire pronouncement that launched 1,000 emails and postings - has a less liberal idea of how it works. My advice though is keep ALL your paperwork handy in your car, should you be stopped. Buena suerte...
