My experience with Christo is that he likes to work and his situation gets desperate when he has no income. If he is employed he has money for food and housing and the result of meaningful work is higher self-esteem and being tired at the end of the day. He is a home-town boy in La Manzanilla, so the best solution that I can see happening is if people chipped by paying a Mexican contractor to employ him.
